August, An Interesting Month For Me...

August may be for some people is not so interesting. But for me it is very very interesting. In Indonesia, we have our Independence day in August. Many people from young generation to old one celebrate it proudly. In many places, there are music shows, such as "Dangdut" music, "keroncong" music, pop music until rock. Also there so many fun competition among families, children, kids, teens even adult people. Their goal is not really to compete each other but for sportiness and getting good relationship between one family to others in their area. Then, what is make me called this August an interesting month for me? That is because almost all of my best friends' birthday are on August end (about August 25th-31st). Firstly, when I was in Senior High I have a best friend namely LIA, then secondly, when I was going to college, I have a good friend called Felisa. Third, when I worked at property agency, I got a coach called him, Roy. Then when my first daughter wanted to learn playing piano, I sent her to a music course owned by my best friend sister, namely Luciana. And we are still a good friend til now, although my daughter has not learned her piano lesson anymore. (Unfortunately, Luciana's hubby, Ajub, also gets his birthday on this month. Finally, my new neighbor, we are still going to get acquaintance each other, Rusly, is also having her birthday on August. Besides all of them, I have one cousin too that her birthday is on August end too...

So? I have to prepare some gift for them... Let's see what I wanna do for their birthday. I'm preparing only 3 things. I have pearl earrings, neclaces and notes... Of course all I made by booth of my hands. Anyway, I dunno what to give for the other ones. Any idea?

My Shiori Ningyo

Hi?

It's almost New Year of 2010, and it's holiday now. I am boring making X'Mas cards n try to make something new... After browsing some X'Mas card pictures I found a Chinese new year card in Japanese style, that attracts me to make it. When I did, came to my mind to make book-mark, because seems here in Indonesia, people dont like cards and sending card traditions in special occassion is out of date. So, I made book mark, usually called shiori ningyo. In Japanese language, shiori means book mark n ningyo means doll. So, it is a kind of a paper doll for book mark

As usual,I make my handmade products using recycle paper, but this time not pulp making. I didn't change used paper to be pulp n make it to be the new paper. No! I just use some thick papers, such as the pack of powder milk box, and pamflet from shopping center, flyer, even used decoration paper. Yes, I try to make my surround ing go green :)and this is my shiori ningyo, take a look...

Hi guys,

It has been many months [probably almost a year] since I lost my cheap internet connection n got some trojan & viruses on my notebook. Now I wish this new connection is as good as the previous one,n also my notebook, not infected again with some nor other viruses even though that will be hard on my wallet :)

Today I show u my new working corner where I do scrapbook n other handmade such as crafts, recycle paper n accessories... Like noctua ( do you know noctua? It means a small owl in Europe) I will do my scrapbook n others card or craft that fulfill my curiosity. So, this is the pictures of my corner... ^__^
