Christmas Wrench

Hi?

Still X'Mas time... so I come with X'Mas idea. Here we go, Christmas wrench pillow...

The material is:

Green, red, orange and yellow Felt

Dacron for filling the pillow

and tread

The tools :

scissor

needle

and glue (UHU)

The process :

Make a circle on a paper as a pattern, the measurement is as you like it, big or small. Cut the pattern then copy to the green felt. You have to make 2 pieces as a back and front of the pillow.

Cut the patterned felt and sew each other, before closing fill with dacron.

Cut the words, M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S, or others by cutting yellow n orange felt combine, then stick to the green pillow with glue.

Decorate with a piece of ribbon. You can make it by cutting the red felt quadangle and sew on the middle till forming a ribbon. Thats it. You have done.

Candy Bar...

Hi?

Today I find some interesting topics, one is a candy bar. Wanna try? Here we go...

YOU WILL NEED:

-Chocolate candy bars (either 2.6 oz or 5 oz sizes)
-Color Printer
-Standard printer paper (white, color, or patterned will work) or self-adhesive paper
-Decorative Paper (be creative... you could use: graph paper, contact paper, vellum, magazine pages, etc.)
-Scissors
-Glue (or double-sided tape)
-Pen(s) or Pencil(s) for addressing your labels

1. Buy your favorite candy bars 2.6 oz. or 5 oz. (for this project you will need to select bars that come foil-wrapped with a removable paper label).
2. Carefully remove the paper labels from your candy bars. If stuck, use a dull instrument to gently loosen label.
3. Print the PDF files (above) and cut around each one.
4. Select a decorative paper of your choosing.
5. Cut to size (6" x 5.25" for 2.6 oz bars and 6.75" x 8.25" for 5 oz bars). Wrap each candy bar, securing in back with glue or double-sided tape.
6. Adhere your decorative labels to the front of the candy bars and address them as you wish.

Very interesting rite? Its fot for Valentine gift or B-day gift also X'Mas gift, I think.

Alrite... U could try by yourself...

About a Punch

Hello... hello... hello?

I'm back, with another step to step making a scrap...but this one is about the punch....

Heidi Grace Papers and Fiskars Squeeze Punches
Designer: Susan Weinroth

Scallop Circles instantly with the ease of a squeeze punch… Could life get any better? I think not! I’ve used my new favorite Fiskars tool (the scallop circle squeeze punch) here to create a custom title block and flower accents as the focal point of my scrapbook page about my sweet little new niece. This one tool can easily be used in many different ways, even on a single scrapbook page.

To create a page similar to mine – start with a base 12x12 page. Build a collage center using a photo and two patterned papers or cardstocks. Punch scallop circles to use as title at bottom of collage. Add large circles to center and then punchboard alphabet pieces for title. Adhere using foam adhesive. Punch scallop flowers for side of collage, sew ribbon on as stems – folding ribbon as you sew. Punch mint condition shapes to use as leaves. Trim ½ circle using ultra shape xpress tool and circle template – adhere to top of collage section and add title. Punch single scallop circle and add large circle to center and punchboard heart to use as accent on ½ circle title piece. Add journaling above photo. Adhere collage to center of base page.

Hope, this article useful for you, all!

Love,

P.J.

Paper Flower by Cosmo Cricket

Hello?

Today, I have step by step making a scrapbook. Here we go...

OK, I know that many, if not all, of you have already made these super-cute flowers. I see them on layouts and cards all over. But, until last night, I had never made one myself. These little cuties don't take up much time or paper at all. In fact, you probably have scraps big enough for these and too little for much else....... what a great way to use them!

Here are my first three attempts. To start, I used a circle punch (around 2") and cut all the circles for each flower. You could use even less paper by cutting each circle with nesting punches, or if you're really good, hand cutting diminishing sizes. I am not really good, so I started with four-five 2" circles. I picked the pattern I wanted to be the largest. Then, holding all three-four of the remaining circles, I hand trimmed them all one size smaller. I choose the next largest and repeated. Does that make sense? Doing it this way made it easiest for me to get the sizes of each circle right. Anyway, in a nutshell, you need to get 4-5 circles each smaller than the one before.

After you have your circles, you can try some different techniques. I only had time to try three, but have some other ideas in mind I'd like to try later.

For my first flower, I cut the circles and then sprayed them with a water bottle. When they were wet, I tore the edges and crumpled them up. I flattened them slightly and let them air dry.

For my next flower, I cut the circles and then fringed the edges. I think next time I might spray and crumple these too. And, I think a larger brad or maybe a button would work better in the center here. I'll have to see what I can find.

My final flower was simply cut with decorative edge scissors. Then I inked the edges and used a cute button for the center. It seemed to be the homey-est of all the flowers and so I picked it for the one on my house warming card. Now, to bake up a plate of cookies and welcome the new neighbors!

I thought I would let you know what I used on my card just in case you wanted to replicate it. The base is Prism cream colored cardstock (I don't know the color, sorry). Then, I used a journaling card from Chemistry for the background. The flower was cut from Flirt cardstock and the brown border from Forget Me Not (both Chemistry). I added a random button from my jar. The stitching is all done with embroidery floss, using all six strands. The tag was made with Flirt and Prism cardstock with a rub-on from Jack's World. I used Making Memories red string to tie on the tag. The crochet trim was just something I happen to have an entire bolt of. I found it at a tag sale years ago...... almost evey article of clothing I have ever sewn for my girls features it and I still have tons!

Alrite, that's all about PAPER FLOWER. Hope you could do it.

Love,

P.J.
